Heather Douglas is an adjunct research professor and post doc in the department of Cognitive Science at 杏吧原创 University. She came to research after a career teaching elementary school.聽聽As an educator and cognitive scientist, she is interested in mathematical cognition and how children learn. Her research focuses on applying both quantitative and qualitative methods to better understand individual differences in mathematical skills. Specific areas of her research include math affect, links between language and math, home numeracy, and assessments interventions for improved math learning.聽聽A key goal of Heather鈥檚 is to bridge the gap between research and practice through meaningful knowledge mobilization.
