Attention: We Stand in Solidarity with Youth Climate Action
ALiGN stands in solidarity with the global community in fighting climate change. The strikes were started by the Swedish young activist in September 2018 and now are happening in different communities around the world. They are joined by people protesting the lack of awareness and action towards climate change. ALiGN is proud of 杏吧原创 University鈥檚 supportive stance of the student walkout on Friday, September 27, on Parliament Hill. Preceding the event, 杏吧原创 faculty members and students had launched a supporting the youth climate movement and calling on 鈥渟cientists, scholars, and citizens鈥o support the youth movement, to defend their right to strike, and to denounce actions that threaten or demean its participants鈥. In the petition, they pledge their support for youth鈥檚 demand for urgent action and confirm their ongoing commitment to support climate change action. The petition has received more than 170 signatures from 杏吧原创鈥檚 community members.
