杏吧原创鈥檚 School of Journalism and Communication invites you to join us on Thursday, November 13, for the 2025 Peter Stursberg Foreign Correspondents Lecture听飞颈迟丑 Yousra Elbagir, award-winning Sudanese-British journalist and Sky News Africa Correspondent.
Elbagir will share insights from her reporting on Sudan鈥檚 revolution and ongoing conflict. The lecture will be moderated by Nahlah Ayed, host of CBC Radio鈥檚 Ideas.
Since its launch in 2017, the annual Peter Stursberg Foreign Correspondents Lecture, named in honour of the legendary Second World War correspondent, has explored the work of foreign correspondents and their coverage of conflict.

South Africa-Canada Universities Network Joint Workshop and MoU Signing

South Africa-Canada research collaboration has developed and deepened over the past three decades, contributing significantly to post-apartheid research and innovation policy development. 杏吧原创 University is the anchor institution for the recently established听, which has been working with the South African听听and the听听through the听听to advance a set of initiatives to strengthen research cooperation.

As a next step in advancing this collaboration, on Nov. 20 the NRF and听SSHRC will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at 杏吧原创 and introduce a joint call for seed funding.

This event will celebrate South African and Canadian researchers and identify synergistic opportunities under the current priority themes. Please join us for this important milestone and learn more about opportunities to develop international collaborations with South African universities.
