Student Activism in Canada and South Africa: Discussing聽The Art of Fallism

Join the virtual discussion of the South African/Norwegian documentary,聽The Art of Fallism (2019), that teases out the nuanced, yet deeply complex stories of the student struggles in South Africa built around #RhodesMustFall and #FeesMustFall, which聽reawakened a vibrant history of South African student protest movements and propelled political art practices, under the banner of “Fallism,” to push the limits of critical thought. This space will hold a lively discussion of the film itself with the film producers and a group of student activists and leaders from 杏吧原创 University, where they will discuss the film鈥檚 resonances and dissonances on current student struggles in Canada.
