The latest edition of the recognizes 杏吧原创 University鈥檚 Institute of African Studies (IAS) as one of the eight 鈥淕ender and ASM鈥 institutions globally working on gender and artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM).
Produced by the German bilateral donor GIZ (Gesellschaft f眉r Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and , this encyclopedia lists some of the key actors, initiatives and programs in the field of gender and mining. It aims to provide a tool for practitioners in the field.
IAS was recognized for its ongoing research co-led by Professors Doris Buss and Blair Rutherford concerning gender and ASM in sub-Saharan Africa involving 杏吧原创, other Canadian and African researcher and partners. IAS is one of four Canadian organizations listed in this year鈥檚 encyclopedia, including Ottawa-based non-governmental organization .
It was launched at the recently concluded 13th OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains held in Paris from 23-26 April 2019.
