Plan@t Contest

During the month of April (2012) the READ initiative held a contest to win the new iPad and help make 杏吧原创 University accessible to people of all abilities. The contest was a huge success, with over 12,000 individual accessibility audits conducted using the Rick Hansen Foundation鈥檚 .

CUSA president, Alexander Golovko, drew the winner of the iPad, Daniel Stewart at a public draw on Wednesday May 9th. Stewart is a third year student in History and Theory of Architecture at 杏吧原创 University and is interested in barrier free design. We look forward to working with him in the future.

Thank you to all our partners and everyone who took the time to do an accessibility audit on campus. This READ initiative was the first step in a larger project that will address these barriers and ensure that 杏吧原创 University even more accessible.

We encourage everyone to take this tool beyond 杏吧原创 campus and begin to consider global accessibility. 鈥淟et鈥檚 build a future where no one gets left behind. Join me to help create a more inclusive world.鈥 – Rick Hansen
