Dr. Boris Vukovic is the founding Director of ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University’s Accessibility Institute and National Director of the . He leads an interdisciplinary portfolio spanning research, innovation, education, strategy, and community engagement, with partnerships across government, academia, not-for-profit organizations, industry, and lived-experience communities.
Since 2018, he has led or co-led projects securing more than $15 million in external funding. As director and principal researcher, he has guided the Institute’s vision and led its growth into a leading hub of applied accessibility research and innovation. Through the Canadian Accessibility Network, he leads the National Office supporting a community of more than 150 organizations and 300 individuals working across research, education, employment, policy, and community engagement.
His work focuses on accessibility and inclusive systems, human-centred AI, functional limitations and support decision-making, disability and human services, accessibility standards, and cross-sector partnerships. He co-chairs ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´â€™s Coordinated Accessibility Strategy and holds an appointment as Adjunct Research Professor in the School of Industrial Design.
