But we&#8217;re here to make things easier for you. So, here&#8217;s a little tip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Did you know we provide online video tutorials and instructional documentation on our site?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ever got stuck trying to use a function on WordPress? When this happens, lots of you reach out to us for support. That&#8217;s awesome &#8211; We love hearing from you! &#8211; but instead of waiting for us to get back to you, you might be able to solve your problem by checking out our online documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Currently, we have written documentation for people using CMS sites which can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/webservices\/cms-help\/\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This documentation covers anything you could possibly want to know about CMS WordPress sites and how they operate. You can find instructions on things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Getting Started with WordPress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with Content (text, links, images, videos, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Left-hand Navigation Help<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Homepage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Newsletters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Footers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We also have tutorial-style videos for CMS users.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve recorded videos of our screens as we&#8217;ve navigated the most basic to the trickiest functions on WordPress. You can follow along on your own computer and try these functions out for yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve got videos covering things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creating Forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating Anchors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating Image Slideshows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with Tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and much more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find our video tutorials <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/webservices\/cms-help\/video-tutorials\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Plus, we&#8217;ve got something more in the works.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As many of you know, we&#8217;re getting ready to roll out a<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/webservices\/2019\/cu-theme-update\/\">&nbsp;new WordPress theme<\/a> this spring called cuTheme. That means they&#8217;ll be more learning to do since a lot of the functions in WordPress are going to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily, we&#8217;ve already started working on new documentation for cuTheme.
