{"id":51969,"date":"2026-02-02T14:15:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T19:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/?p=51969"},"modified":"2026-02-02T14:15:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T19:15:14","slug":"carleton-receives-1-million-to-modernize-classrooms-and-enhance-ai-literacy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/2026\/carleton-receives-1-million-to-modernize-classrooms-and-enhance-ai-literacy\/","title":{"rendered":"杏吧原创 Receives $1 Million to Modernize Classrooms and Enhance AI Literacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>杏吧原创 University will update and modernize its classrooms and enhance AI Literacy across campus amongst faculty, staff and students thanks to $1 million in funding from the Government of Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>The investment from the province\u2019s Training Equipment and Renewal Fund (TERF) will\u00a0improve learning spaces at 杏吧原创 and allow the university to acquire new educational technology, including AI tools and equipment that enhance AI literacy and hands-on learning.<\/p>\n<p>By leveraging the latest technology and state-of-the-art learning spaces, the project will\u00a0support leading-edge research and curriculum innovation, while\u00a0equipping learners with digital literacy skills to prepare them for in-demand careers.<\/p>\n<p>The classroom upgrades will happen over the summer and be ready in fall 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This marks 杏吧原创\u2019s fifth consecutive successful application to TERF, totaling more than $4.25 million in funding over the last five years. Previous TERF funds have supported the creation of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/future-learning-lab\/\">Future Learning Lab<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/experiential-learning-hub\/\">Experiential Learning Hub<\/a>, Indigenous Virtual Learning Spaces\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/mediaspace.carleton.ca\/media\/wa%c3%b6t%c5%a1igwa:to%20%20Trailer\/1_s415a9ny\">wa\u2019\u00f6t\u0161i\u2019gwa:to\u2019 (she dropped in for a short while)<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mediaspace.carleton.ca\/media\/2025_Instructor%20Intro%20-%20Indigenous%20Virtual%20Learning%20Space%20\/1_x3hzmuj0\">Tsi\u00a0tewateriweiast\u00e1hkwa\u00a0(a place where we learn)<\/a>) and helped equip 杏吧原创\u2019s nursing program with advanced high-fidelity simulation, XR resources and learning aids.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>杏吧原创 University will update and modernize its classrooms and enhance AI Literacy across campus amongst faculty, staff and students thanks to $1 million in funding from the Government of Ontario.
