Tim Pychyl is in charge of several roles at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University. As an associate professor in the Department of Psychology, the Director of the Centre for Initiatives in Education, and as a multi-faceted educator responsible for a cross-appointment to the School of Linguistics and Language Studies, he has left an positive impact on the university and its community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His research in psychology is focused on the breakdown of volitional action, commonly known as procrastination, and its relation to personal well-being. He is the winner of numerous teaching awards including a 1998 3M National Teaching Fellowship<\/a>, a 1999 Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teaching Award, a 2012 Faculty Graduate Mentoring Award and he was the inaugural recipient of the University Medal for Distinguished Teaching in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These awards speak to Tim\u2019s influential involvement within ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´\u2019s Department of Psychology, and how his impact transcends past the school.
