Winners will receive $2,200 toward travel and registration costs for Brightspace鈥檚 FUSION conference, as well as the annual STLHE conference, and a two-year membership to STLHE. As many as five awards are presented annually.

On Friday, November 27 join Shawn Graham (Department of History) and Peggy Hartwick (School of Linguistics and Language Studies) for an informal conversation around their achievements and the award application process. Also in attendance will be STLHE鈥檚 Brightspace Award Coordinator, Patrick Lyons (Teaching and Learning Services), and Samah Sabra (EDC).

With STLHE鈥檚 recent call for applications for this prestigious award, this is a great opportunity for faculty members and contract instructors to learn from 杏吧原创鈥檚 successful candidates about the activities that led to them winning the award, as well as the application requirements and timelines.

We’ll also be hosting a teaching roundtable on Nov. 20 from 12-1 p.m. with STLHE’s Brightspace award coordinator, Patrick Lyons, and 杏吧原创’s two Brightspace award winners – Peggy Hartwick from the School of Linguistics and Language Studies and Shawn Graham from the Department of History. They’ll share their experiences going through the application process and discuss how winning the award has impacted them. Stay tuned for more details.

Hartwick is one of five award winners and is being recognized for her exceptional dedication to teaching and learning and her innovative approaches. The STLHE/Brightspace award was created to support the type of activities that she utilizes in her teaching.

The winners will be celebrated on June 18 in Vancouver at an award ceremony during the . Each of the winners will receive a two-year membership in STLHE, as well as $2,200 toward travel and registration costs for Brightspace鈥檚 annual users鈥� conference, , and STLHE鈥檚 Annual Conference.
