This award recognizes excellence in collaborative teaching and learning in post-secondary education. The award is open to groups of two or more individuals, at least one of whom must be currently teaching at a Canadian post-secondary institution. The team can be from a single department, faculty or school, or represent interdisciplinary collaboration within or among institutions.

Winners will present their project at the annual STLHE conference. The team will receive $3,500 for travel and expenses to attend the conference and a certificate of recognition.

The award, sponsored by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and Desire2Learn, recognizes innovative approaches that promote student-centred teaching and learning at the post-secondary level. Candidates do not need to be members of STLHE to apply. Winners will receive $2,200 toward travel and registration costs for the annual STLHE conference, a two-year membership to STLHE and a certificate of recognition. As many as five awards are presented annually.

STLHE is also accepting applications for the Alan Blizzard Award. The award is open to groups of two or more individuals, at least one of whom must be currently teaching at a Canadian post-secondary institution (colleges, cégeps, polytechnics and/or universities). The team may be from a single department/faculty/school or represent interdisciplinary collaboration within or among institutions.

The team that receives the award will present their project as a concurrent or poster session at the upcoming STLHE Annual Conference. The winners will receive up to $3,500 toward travel and registration costs for the conference and a certificate of recognition.

• Five $10,000 Professional Achievement Awards (instructors)
• Two $10,000 Professional Achievement Awards (professional librarians). Nominations must be made to the Peer Evaluation Committee, which must submit its selections to the University Librarian by Nov. 20. For more details, please consult with the University Librarian.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University is now accepting submissions for the 2015 Board of Governors Award for Outstanding Community Achievement to recognize the spirit of student volunteerism and substantial community contribution while at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´.

Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award
This award recognizes faculty and contract instructors dedicated to sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching. Recipients are also designated as ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University Teaching Fellows.

New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award
This award was established to recognize new faculty members who underscore ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.

Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award
This award recognizes faculty and contract instructors who thoughtfully and meaningfully incorporate technology into their teaching and learning practices.
