Carling Walsh is a Research Associate and the current Laboratory Manager of the Patterson Lab. She received her Ph.D. in in Earth Sciences in 2022 (, nominated for a senate medal, ) and her B.Sc in Environmental Sciences (conc. Earth Sciences) in 2017, both from ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University.

Her areas of specialization include time series analysis, climate change, and environmental research. Currently, Walsh’s research covers a broad range of climatic and environmental topics, including climate modelling, paleotempestology, and paleolimnological assessment. She is also a member of the Crawford Lake research group (Team Crawford) focused on Anthropocene research.

Walsh’s roles as Lab Manager/Research Associate include general laboratory upkeep and organization, student mentoring, producing/collaborating on research papers, and completing a variety of odd jobs as needed.
