{"id":18,"date":"2013-12-02T10:56:16","date_gmt":"2013-12-02T15:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaccounts\/?page_id=18"},"modified":"2024-07-09T10:07:42","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T14:07:42","slug":"financial-rights","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaccounts\/financial-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial Rights and Responsibilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This page describes the roles and responsibilities of students, sponsors and Student Accounts, as they relate to the financial transactions arising from registration and other student activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all amounts charged to student account are paid in a timely manner and before the published <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaccounts\/dates-deadlines\/\">deadlines<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Check your student account balance regularly for new or updated charges and payments.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaccounts\/dates-deadlines\/\">dates and deadlines<\/a>\u00a0regarding financial withdrawal dates \u2013 they are different from academic withdrawal dates!<\/li>\n<li>Notify Student Accounts if you believe your account to contain an error.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sponsors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Notify 杏吧原创 University \u2013 Student Accounts when you wish to sponsor a student or make changes to an existing sponsorship.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a clear and concise description of the details of the sponsorship agreement to Student Accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Accounts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protect students&#8217; personal and financial information in accordance with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/privacy\/\">FIPPA<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure tuition fees applied to account accurately reflect registration status.<\/li>\n<li>Invoice on behalf of students for third party sponsorship agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Apply third party funding, including OSAP and other provincial loans, scholarships and bursaries, tuition waivers and sponsorship payments in a timely manner to the student account.<\/li>\n<li>Following University\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/financialservices\/policies\/\">policies<\/a>, apply\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaccounts\/tuition-fees\/late-charges\/\">late payment\/late registration<\/a>\u00a0fees and <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaccounts\/tuition-fees\/interest-charges\/\">Interest charges<\/a>\u00a0on outstanding balances and apply financial holds for delinquent accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to students and their families and\/or sponsors to understand University financial regulations and policies and their implications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This page describes the roles and responsibilities of students, sponsors and Student Accounts, as they relate to the financial transactions arising from registration and other student activities.
