Participation offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to 杏吧原创\u2019s long-term priorities and institutional trajectory as it approaches its second century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are five working groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/strategic-plan\/working-groups\/teaching-and-learning\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"75\">Teaching and Learning<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/strategic-plan\/working-groups\/student-experience\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"87\">Student Experience<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/strategic-plan\/working-groups\/research-and-scholarly-impact\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"80\">Research and Scholarly Impact<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/strategic-plan\/working-groups\/community-engagement-and-partnerships\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"82\">Community Engagement and Partnerships<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/strategic-plan\/working-groups\/institutional-health-and-sustainability\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"84\">Institutional Health and Sustainability<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each working group will include students, faculty and staff representatives, with academic and administrative co-chairs appointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"role-of-the-working-groups\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the Working Groups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each working group is responsible for examining a defined strategic domain and developing forward-looking recommendations to inform the university\u2019s strategic plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working groups will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify key opportunities, risks, constraints and emerging trends shaping 杏吧原创\u2019s future<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop five to seven Strategic Directions to guide institutional decision-making<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider long-term sustainability, institutional alignment and necessary trade-offs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to a plan that strengthens 杏吧原创\u2019s impact, resilience and global standing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The work is collaborative, future-focused and grounded in institutional evidence and experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"commitment-and-expectations\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commitment and Expectations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Serving on a working group requires consistent engagement over the course of the planning process. Members can expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Approximately two meetings per month of 1.5-2 hours duration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advance preparation and review of materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active participation in discussion and development of recommendations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engagement through to submission of the group\u2019s recommendations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working groups will conclude their work once the strategic plan is approved by the Board of Governors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"eligibility-and-selection\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility and Selection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations are open to students, faculty and staff who demonstrate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strategic and forward-looking thinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A commitment to institutional sustainability and excellence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to engage constructively in collaborative dialogue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Openness to diverse, inclusive, evidence-informed perspectives and experiences that contribute to robust discussion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, March 31, 2026<\/strong>. Selection for the working groups will be made by the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/strategic-plan\/strategic-visioning-process\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"7\">Steering Committee<\/a>.
