Hosted by the听Centre for Community Engagement, the month will commemorate community engagement at 杏吧原创, while spreading awareness of the variety of opportunities to learn, grow and build respectful and reciprocal relationships with communities. The month will lead up to the launch of 杏吧原创鈥檚 inaugural听Strategic Plan for Community Engagement (SP4CE),听which supports the value and practice of community engagement, a priority highlighted in 杏吧原创鈥檚听Strategic Integrated Plan.听

Since the SP4CE Task Force was formed in November 2021, we have consulted approximately 600 members of the 杏吧原创 community to discuss ideas and experiences related to community engagement. These perspectives will help to inform the development of 杏吧原创鈥檚 inaugural , which aligns with the Serve Ottawa, Serve the World strategic direction outlined in our Strategic Integrated Plan.

Along with the task force, the Centre has published the SP4CE Progress Report, which summarizes the themes and ideas that were discussed in the internal consultations.

Our next step is to consult with the broader community through external consultations this summer and we look forward to the feedback that these conversations will yield. We plan to release the Strategic Plan for Community Engagement in the fall.
