Mr. Gammie is the longtime director of the Calvinia Rieldans group, as well as other rieldans groups in the Karoo region of the Northern and Western Cape provinces. Mr. Gammie has won several awards as both performer and group director in regional and national rieldans competitions, and regularly serves as a judge in those competitions. Boeta Gammie has been featured in the South African journal The Daily Maverick as well as other news outlets. His 2014 album <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Akkedisie<\/em> (Akkedissie) is available on YouTube.
