Congratulations to all the thesis students for taking on this challenge and producing fascinating and important work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a quick overview of the projects that were displayed in the lounge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0968-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\">Angela Ingrao explored the social effects of how audiences relate to the work of high-profile artists accused of sexual wrongdoing.<\/td><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0969-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\">Madison Cameron explored work as leisure, digital nomads, and the transformation of work.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0970-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\">Jazmin Israel examined media representations of social movements.<\/td><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0973-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\">Maria Abdi examined racialized identities in law enforcement.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0974-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\">Kennedy Aliu explored hip hop, resilience, and Somali youth.<\/td><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0975-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\">Mackenzie Cielen-Gough explored LGBTQ2+ voices in Ontario&#8217;s 1998 sex-ed curriculum, and the construction of queer identity.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2019\/04\/IMG_0967.jpg\" alt=\"\">Tiffany Isesele (left) examined social housing and access to quality nutritional food in Ottawa.
