I was thrilled that 杏吧原创 University offered a medical anthropology specialization when I applied to the MA program. After graduation, I began work at the Public Health Agency of Canada as a policy analyst where, for a decade, I worked on priority public health issues such as reducing health inequities and suicide prevention. My medical Anthropology degree provided me with a different perspective from which to analyze the social determinants of health. It has enabled me to work with diverse experts with biomedical or public health training. My MA in Anthropology further paved the way for a Ph.D. in population health. Today I work as an independent consultant in East Africa, working on a range of development issues.
