Kelly Patterson has done everything from daily news hits to book reviews to page layout, but feature-writing is her enduring passion. Working primarily for The Ottawa Citizen\u2019s award-winning Weekly section, as well as the Saturday Observer, she wrote a wide range of essays and investigative series, taking a particular interest in international human rights and corporate social responsibility. Journalism is her second career: In a past life, she pursued PhD-level studies in French literature, including a year at the Sorbonne.
