Journalism","degrees":"","expertise":"no","profile_image":15400,"heading":"","biography":"<p><em>Professor Everts is on sabbatical until December 31 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sarah Everts joined 杏吧原创 University in 2019 after more than a decade in Berlin, Germany, where she reported on science and technology for a variety of publications including <em>Scientific American<\/em>, <em>New Scientist<\/em>, <em>Smithsonian<\/em>, <em>Chemical &amp; Engineering News<\/em> and others. Her work has garnered several awards and accolades, such as inclusion in the 2017 Best American Science and Nature Writing anthology. She is author of the critically acclaimed book, The Joy of Sweat: The Strange Science of Perspiration (2021), which the <em>New York Times<\/em> called &#8220;crisp and lively&#8230; an entertaining and illuminating guide to the necessity and virtues of perspiration.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sarah has an MJ from 杏吧原创, an MSc in chemistry from the University of British Columbia and a BSc in biophysics from the University of Guelph.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah\u2019s research interests lie at the intersection of scientific innovation, policy and cultural anthropology.
