Be sure to check your exam schedule through the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ Mobile app or ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ Central and write down where your exam is taking place. Keep an eye on , as snow or heavy rain may delay your commute. Arriving early guarantees you have time to use the washroom, finish your coffee or refill your water before you enter the exam room. In cases of more severe weather keep an eye on Ìý²¹²Ô»å to make sure you don’t miss any important updates.

Being prepared for exams is an important part of your success. Knowing what you should and shouldn’t bring with you, where you can leave your coat and what happens if you’re late are all important parts of feeling relaxed during an exam. Need to go to the washroom? Not feeling well? Scheduling and Exam Services have a full list of things to know before and during to help keep your mind at ease.

Exam time is often stressful for students. Make sure you’re taking time for yourself and your mental health by taking breaks, prioritizing your sleep and maintaining good eating habits. Empower Me support is available in person, by telephone, video-counselling or e-counselling for free.

Once you’ve successfully navigated exam season you’re probably wondering . The exact date that your grade will be available depends on how quickly your instructor submits the grades for the course. The instructor generally has 10 calendar days after the date of the final examination to submit final grades. Once submitted, it will take a few days for the final grades to be approved by the Departmental Chair and the Dean of the Faculty that administers your course.

Important Message re Scantron Processing /ses/2016/important-message-re-scantron-processing/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=important-message-re-scantron-processing Fri, 02 Dec 2016 17:35:44 +0000 http://carleton.ca/ses/?p=3661 Exam season has arrived at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´, which means there will be a large volume of Scantrons that require processing at the EDC. Instructors using Scantrons are asked to drop off their sheets to the EDC main office (410 Dunton Tower) as soon as possible after their exam is done. This is to ensure that they are processed in a timely manner.

EDC’s regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. However, in an effort to provide instructors with more flexibility for drop offs, EDC will be extending our hours during the last week of exams. They will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. from Dec. 19-22.

The university will close for the holidays on December 23 at noon. Please note that all Scantrons must be dropped off no later than 9 a.m. on the 23rd to ensure that the exams are processed before the break. Otherwise, exams will be processed starting on Jan. 3. For instructors who have exams on the afternoon of December 22, the EDC will follow up with more information for you shortly.

Reminder: In order to expedite the drop off process, please ensure the answer sheets are stacked face up with timing tracks on the left-hand side and a correctly completed key on top. Also please ensure that you have a completed  with an accurate count of the number exam sheets you are submitting for grading.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ has implemented a new policy around early exam departures for health-related reasons.

of the Undergraduate Calendar, students are expected to assess their medical situation prior to entering the examination room. Students who do not write a final examination because of illness or other circumstances beyond their control may apply to write a deferred examination.

of the Academic Calendar outlines the regulations governing deferral of final examinations. Students are expected to complete a final examination once begun. If the student experiences a significant deterioration of his/her health while the examination is in progress, it may be possible to submit a petition to apply to write a deferred examination.
