The approval of an application for funding depends upon the availability of funds and if the request is consistent with the criteria outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/SAF-Policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Student Activities Fund Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Activities Fund Priorities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Individual or group requests to participate in educational conferences or events that: enhance a student&#8217;s leadership potential; promote 杏吧原创 University externally, or; complement the student&#8217;s in-class experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Groups that are seeking funding to host an event that enhances student life at 杏吧原创 University are encouraged to apply to the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/resources\/cux-experience-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CUx Experience Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that graduate students are <strong>not<\/strong> eligible to receive funding through the Student Activities Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds are not intended to support existing projects, co-operative education, staffing needs, thesis projects, student exchange travel expenses, summer fieldwork placements, laboratory operating costs, or individual educational program requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These funds are provided with the generous support of the 杏吧原创 University Alumni Association and MBNA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"application-for-funding\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application for Funding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Funding has reached capacity for 2025\/2026<\/strong>. Applications will reopen for next academic year in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must be submitted <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">15 days prior<\/span> to the event. All events must take place before March 31st, 2026. Applications will <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>not<\/strong><\/span> be accepted once the event has taken place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the event that three or more students apply for funding to attend the same conference or event, the applicants will be contacted and asked to work together to submit an application for group funding. This will apply even if some students have already applied for and received approval for funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications take up to 10 business days for review. Please contact <a href=\"mailto:saf@carleton.ca\">saf@carleton.ca<\/a> should you have any questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"final-report\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students and student groups who have been approved for funding through the Student Activities Fund must submit their post-activity final report <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">within 30 days of the activity and no later than April 15th, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/student-activities-fund-final-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Final Report<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Student Activities Fund provides financial support to recognized undergraduate students or student groups.
