Thesis (Supervisor Required)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will need to secure a supervisor from one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/our-people\/school-of-computer-science-faculty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCS Faculty members<\/a> in order to be admitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are still welcome to apply before securing a supervisor; in your application, you will need to select at least one potential supervisor that you would like to work with within your desired research area of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"funding-options\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"funding-packages\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding packages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">杏吧原创 offers generous funding packages to its graduate students. When you submit your application for admission to 杏吧原创, you will be considered for funding as part of the process. The quoted amounts include both the compulsory fees and optional non-tuition fees in their totals. You can find more information below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-light-grey is-style-light-grey--3\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/graduate.carleton.ca\/financial-assistance\/cost-and-fees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Costs and Fees<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"admission-requirements\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Normal requirement for Admission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Admission to a Ph.D. program in Computer Science normally requires the completion of a thesis-based Master of Computer Science, or a Master of Computer Science and the equivalent demonstrated research potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Admission with a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exceptional applicants who hold only an Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (with a minimum GPA of A-) with demonstrated research potential may be eligible for admission with strong supervisor support.
