Biography<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Alina Shaikhet received her Ph.D. from the School of Computer Science at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University in 2017, and she was awarded the Senate Medal for outstanding academic achievement. She joined the faculty in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in a small city in Ukraine and surrounded by the richness and diversity of Ukrainian culture, Alina developed a deep fascination for visual arts. It didn’t take long for her to see that math and art could not exist independently. Driven by a desire to share her visions with others, she was soon mixing equations with watercolours and weaving fractals into a digital landscape. Alina continued her education in Computer Science and Visual Arts and did her research in the field of Computational Geometry and Animation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Alina Shaikhet specializes in teaching first- and second-year computer science courses, with a focus on algorithm design, data structures, and web development.
