Our products allow customers to record images of high-speed events and make optical measurements. Our specialty is flight dynamics, but we have projects in a range of other applications.

Job Description:

Applicant will join a team of scientists and engineers building machine vision applications.

The position will require investigation into image processing algorithms, development of rapid protypes, and implementation of successful algorithms into products.

The applicant will also have responsibility to participate in the development of new framework and software architectures to maximum the use of parallel processing and GPU acceleration. The objective is to build fast, efficient, and accurate image analysis.

The applicant should be comfortable with working with cameras. This includes integration with frame grabbers, basic wiring, and making cable connections. Experimental testing will involve assembling prototypes from lab materials and testing in the field or at customer sites.

The applicant will be supported by a team of experts in control theory, software development, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, machine shops, and many years of field experience.

Some travel will be required. Generally, about 3 trips per year for a period of 1 to 2 weeks. This will require lifting and carrying of cases, setting up equipment, and running experiments to gather data, and demonstrating systems being delivered.

The person selected for this position will work on new technology and new ideas. A 鈥渃an-do鈥� attitude, an open communicator, and positive disposition are important attributes in our staff.

What is a Recreation Director at Shad Canada?
The Recreation Director (Rec Director) has primary responsibility for the planning, development and execution of recreational activities and events within the Shad program, in cooperation with the Program Directors and Program Manager. In addition, they are expected to participate fully in the day-to-day activities of the program, assisting in the education and mentorship of many young people. The Rec Director arranges the necessary resources and supplies for recreational activities and ensures that proper risk management principles are being applied. This is a 12 week paid internship that will lead to a full time job offers
Participants will benefit from job shadowing, coaching and mentoring within the following departments: R & D, Engineering, Technical Support, MIS, Sales and Marketing. This provides candidates with an opportunity to experience the different roles within a cybersecurity company to see what interests them the most.
Participants will spend time in technical training that includes NSE 4 level industry certification, SD WAN Architecture, AI Driven Breach Protection, Attack and Defend methodologies, and ZTNA with a dedicated industry instructor.
Soft skills training will also be included in the 12 weeks to sharpen the necessary leadership, project management, presentation and communication skills needed by industry professionals. This will take place through Fortinet鈥檚 Employee Skills program and industry speakers brought in to speak to the program participants.
All participants will also take part in Fortinet鈥檚 2022 Sales Kickoff. You will attend sessions with leading speakers like Simon Sinek and John Maxwell and hear from Fortinet Executives.
