We are looking for volunteers for a study on the public’s opinions of art by migrant care workers. I need help understanding the role that art plays in representing migrant care work, and so I am asking for volunteers to share their thoughts on art produced by migrant care workers.

The study involves one 60-90 minute interview that will take place at a mutually convenient, safe location. During the interview, I will ask about your knowledge of migrant care workers’ policies and programs in Canada and share art produced by migrant care workers for your reflection. All interviews will be audio-recorded for the purposes of transcription and analysis. You will be asked to submit a voice-memo following the interview. Once the recording and voice-memo have been transcribed, they will be destroyed.

  • To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old.
  • Participants will receive a $20 gift card for their time.

Care will be taken to protect your identity. This will be done by keeping all responses anonymized and allowing you to request that certain responses not included in the final project.

You will have the right to end your participation in the study at any time, for any reason, up until 60 days after the interview. If you choose to withdraw, all the information you have provided will be destroyed.

I am writing to invite you to participate in a study evaluating games to help Teaching Assistant learn about microaggressions. Participants will complete a brief questionnaire, play two short interactive games, and participate in a short interview. The session will last 60 minutes.

This study aims to better understand how people interact with social media platforms on laptops and mobile phones to help improve future digital experiences.

To participate in this study, you must meet all the eligibility criteria. Participants must be:

  • Age 18 years or older
  • Use social media on a phone or laptop
  • Can read and understand English.

Participation in this study will involve completing the following:

  1. You will interact with a simulated social media environment on a laptop or mobile phone.
  2. You will view and engage with posts similar to what you see during regular social media use.
  3. After the session, you will complete a short survey about your perceptions and experiences.

The estimated time commitment for this study is approximately 45 minutes; however, the exact time may require more or less time depending on your individual interaction patterns.

Participants will be compensated with a 20$ e-gift card after completing their interaction and submit their responses to the survey questions.

This study aims to identify biomarkers of problematic cannabis use and risk factors for problematic use, such as early life trauma, as well as to better understand patterns of cannabis use among university students.

You may be eligible to participate in a study if you are:

  • In your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of university at 杏吧原创 University
  • Fluent in English
  • Between the ages of 17 and 30 years old

Participation in this study will involve:

  • A link to a quick screening questionnaire, asking a few of questions to see if you are eligible to participate (5 minutes)
  • If eligible, you will be asked to attend a 1-hour lab session during which you will complete study questionnaires, have your blood drawn, and be given a cortisol kit to be completed at home (these will include a pre-paid return envelope).
  • You will then be e-mailed 5-minute online check-in 6 months following your participation in phase 1, confirmed your continued participant in phase 2 of the study.
  • Phase 2 will be an online follow-up session occurring one year after your initial participation where you will be asked for around 30 minutes of your time to complete a subset of the questionnaires asked in Phase 1 of the study.

In appreciation of your time and participation, you will receive a $25 e-gift card following completion of Phase 1 and an additional $35 e-gift card following completion of Phase 2.

The study aims to understand how first-generation students develop their individual identities while balancing existing roles within your family unit.聽 You will be asked questions about being a university student, family roles and responsibilities, and the experience of being the first in your family to attend a Canadian university.聽

To be eligible, you must be a student at 杏吧原创 University, the first in your family to attend a Canadian university, and currently living with your family while attending university. The study will take place on campus and should take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete. A $10 gift card to Tim Hortons or Starbucks will be offered as compensation and appreciation for your involvement in the project.
