Grace聽grew up on Manitoulin Island and is currently based in Ottawa.聽Her聽research focuses on Indigenous-led fisheries, innovative Indigenous governance and land claim practices, and the decolonization of ecological knowledge and resource management in Canada鈥檚 North.聽She hopes to facilitate Indigenous-settler knowledge co-evolution using deliberative, ethical, community-focused processes based on mutual respect.
Grace is a Research Assistant for both FISHES (Fostering Indigenous Small鈥恠cale fisheries for Health, Economy, and food Security) and the聽LCAC Modern Treaties Implementation Research Project.聽She has over ten years of experience in public policy, natural resource management, and aquatic science.
