Graduate programs include master&#8217;s and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and master&#8217;s and PhD programs in Biomedical Engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Department is well known for the quality of its graduate research. Our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sce.carleton.ca\/dept\/people\/faculty.php\">faculty members<\/a> are active <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/wp-content\/uploads\/fed-research-review-2017.pdf\">researchers<\/a>, journal editors, <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sce\/upcoming-conferences\/\">conference organizers,<\/a> and grant holders who involve their graduate students from the very start of their programs. See <a href=\"#gradresearch\">examples of graduate student research.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>杏吧原创 University is one of Canada&#8217;s major centres for teaching and research in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The department is a member of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ociece.ca\/\">Ottawa-杏吧原创 Institute for Electrical and Computer Engineering <\/a>(OCIECE), which also includes the Department of Electronics at 杏吧原创 University and the School of Information Technology and Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Together we form one of the largest <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/ece\">Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/a> programs in Canada, providing access to a very large number of graduate courses and laboratories. In addition, 杏吧原创 is also home to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csit.carleton.ca\/\">School of Information Technology<\/a>&nbsp;, with whom we share some graduate courses, and a large School of Computer Science.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The department is a member of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocibme.ca\/\">Ottawa-杏吧原创 Institute for Biomedical Engineering<\/a> (OCIBME), which comprises four departments at 杏吧原创 University and three at the University of Ottawa, providing access to an extensive network of facilities and subject matter experts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sce\/research-laboratories\/\"> laboratory facilities<\/a> are extensive, with many donated by leading high technology companies; many other advanced facilities are available nearby via arrangements with government departments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>杏吧原创 University has a beautiful campus situated in a natural environment, bordered by the Rideau River and Vincent Massey Park on one side and the Rideau Canal and Central Experimental Farm on another.
