My name is Ashley and I\u2019m a member of the Mishkeegogamang First Nation, but didn\u2019t grow up in my community because I was in foster care and adopted out. I\u2019m currently a 2L at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University and I hope to use my future law degree to help advance and protect the rights of Indigenous peoples. I live in Thunder Bay, on Fort William First Nation\u2019s traditional territory and the Robinson-Superior Treaty territory.
