The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Dept: School of Computational and Communication Science and Engineering, PhD Scholar<\/p>\n

Biosketch<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a Tanzanian female. I did BE: in Electronics and ICT from the VTU in Bangalore- India. Master\u2019s at NM-AIST, where I participated and won two times the business plan competition (BPC) which led to me representing NM-AIST in the international BPC held at Washington State University, USA.<\/p>\n

Currently, I run a project supported by PEPFAR, which aim at preventing young adolescent women from contracting HIV\/AIDS by reducing dropout status in schools through provision required resources.<\/p>\n

Research Interests and societal interests<\/strong><\/p>\n

My interest is in the area of system development, modeling, integration and optimization. I have also interest in working with multi-disciplinary research action which integrate diverse areas in ICT, environment, health, social and business areas.<\/p>\n

My societal interest is to share my knowledge for the development of society and industry.<\/p>\n

Expectations as a QES Scholar during the Mobility Period<\/strong><\/p>\n

In line with my research area and achievement, I believe that the QES programme at 杏吧原创 University (CU) will add value in terms of providing skills for understanding and working with climate change, societal transformation, data analysis, modeling, system integration and optimization as well as provide teaching, research writing, presenting, and publishing skills.<\/p>\n

With the value-added skills from CU, my future career as a lecturer and expert in integration of environmental and health data will be strengthened and will have a positive impact to other students, society, and industry just like the motto of NM-AIST: \u201cAcademia for Society and Industry\u201d.<\/p>\n

The QES Project and Advancement of your Career<\/strong><\/p>\n

The QES Project has really advanced my career, this is because I have been assigned a mentor to assist me in my research study who is very professional and experienced in the area of my research.<\/p>\n

I was able to attend several modules, conferences and workshops on climate change and societal transformation. \u00a0In addition, I have been able be the panelist at the RESULTS CANADA conference, which was a very new experience in my life.<\/p>\n
