Our <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/faculty-staff\/faculty-listing\/\">faculty<\/a>&nbsp;and students conduct cutting-edge&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/psychology\/research\/\">research<\/a>&nbsp;in a variety of fields, including cognitive, developmental, forensic, health, organizational, personality and social psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The&nbsp;Master of Arts&nbsp;(MA) program allows students to gain the essential tools to conduct empirical research, while the&nbsp;Doctorate&nbsp;of Philosophy&nbsp;(Ph.D.) is strongly research-oriented and emphasizes hands-on training. While I found the entire department friendly and collegial, the forensic faculty in particular, made my experience everything that it was. They are enthusiastic to share their expertise, they recognize student achievement, and they take it upon themselves to understand each student\u2019s goals, and then challenge and champion them.
