You must apply to 杏吧原创\u2019s B.A. (Honours) with a Major in Psychology program or B.Sc. (Honours) with a Major in Psychology program and select the Co-op option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply by the end of your 2<sup>nd<\/sup> year of study at 杏吧原创 University. <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/\">Learn how to apply<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For admission to and continuation in the Co-op option, you must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be registered as a full-time student in the B.A. (Honours) Psychology or the B.Sc. (Honours) Psychology program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain and maintain an overall CGPA of 9.5 and a Major CGPA of 9.5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain 3rd-year standing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successfully complete PSYC 2001 and PSYC 2002 by the start of the first work term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain full-time status in each study term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successfully complete COOP 1000 [0.0]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be eligible to work in Canada (for off-campus jobs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>B.A. Honours and B.Sc. Honours Psychology students must successfully complete three (3) work terms to obtain the Co-op Designation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Co-op and Career Services regularly monitor your progress in the program.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>More information on these requirements may be found via the <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/co-operativeeducation\/\">Co-op \u2013 Undergrad Calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"what-is-coop-1000\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is COOP 1000?\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you can start a work term, you must complete the non-credit online course, COOP 1000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The timing of the course is dependent on your academic program and when your first work term is scheduled. In all cases, COOP 1000 must be completed at least two semesters prior to your first work term. COOP 1000 is a seven-module, 10-week non-credit online course designed to assist you in developing a variety of employability skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will have access to this course for a minimum of two terms prior to your first work term and will be notified by Co-op when it is time to register. For more information about this course, access <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/how-does-co-op-work\/coop-1000\/\">COOP 1000<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"how-do-i-locate-a-co-op-position-with-an-employer\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I locate a&nbsp;Co-op position with an employer?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is your responsibility to secure employment for Co-op, and there are no assurances that a position will be found. However, if you have a clear plan, persistence, enthusiasm, and a sense of initiative, then your chances of success are enhanced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 杏吧原创 University Co-op Program office will assist you with job searches, which are normally conducted during the term immediately before the work term. You will have access to a database that includes employers indicating a willingness to take on 杏吧原创 Co-op students.
