I care deeply about how workplaces can be improved to promote employee health and organizational well-being. My current projects involve a pan-Canadian study of when people take a leave of absence from work for mental health issues and what facilitates their return to work and a longitudinal study of working during times of crisis. I’m also interested in transitions at mid-career. After some time in the workforce, people often feel discontented – what does it take to help these people move into a different and more satisfying career? Menopause often occurs at the same time as women hit their mid-career and I’m interested in how menopause symptoms affect how women work.

Selected Publications

Tulk, C., & Mantler, J.
