However, I also study gender differences, and thus boys and men in conflict with the law are also actively incorporated into my research. &nbsp;Topics of study include: understanding the role of strengths in risk assessment and service delivery, enhancing the gender responsiveness of global risk assessment measures and supplementary measures, understanding how complex trauma, risks and strengths among deeply entrenched justice system youth\u2014males and females- either result in more violence and crime, or successful exit strategies characterized by law abiding citizenship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"biography\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biography<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Shelley Brown is a professor of forensic psychology within the Department of Psychology, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University. She is also an associate graduate faculty member with the Centre of Applied Psychology and Human Development, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. She has been an inaugural member of the Forensic Psychology Research Centre (FPRC) since 2008 and served as Director of the FPRC from 2010 to 2012.
