Additionally, Dan has chaired several significant University committees, including the Senate Committee on Curriculum, Admissions and Studies Policy, the Senate Review Committee and the FASS Faculty Board.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dan did his undergraduate studies in English at the University of California, Davis.\u00a0 He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mills College in Oakland, California.\u00a0 He also holds an MA and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Arizona.
