Like other universities in Ontario, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University will suspend its proof of vaccination requirements for participation in in-person ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ activities beginning May 1, 2022.

As has been the case throughout the pandemic, the evolution of the virus and public health conditions are difficult to predict, so this decision is contingent on current conditions and directions continuing. We will adjust our plans as required by these evolving conditions to ensure everyone’s health and safety and to comply with public health advice or any applicable legal requirements.

Although proof of vaccination will no longer be required starting May 1, it may become necessary to bring back proof of vaccination requirements on short notice if the situation and public health advice changes. All suppliers and contractors engaged in business with ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´, in particular, those that are planning to visit or conduct work on campus are encouraged to attest to their vaccination status and if vaccinated, to upload proof of vaccination and subsequent booster doses in . Should the University reinstate its vaccination requirements in the future, any missing attestations and proof of vaccination may prevent you from delivering your services. We strongly recommend that any personnel or subcontractors assigned ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University contracts or services be vaccinated. The University will not be responsible for any costs, delays or failure to provide services due to inadequate compliance with any vaccination requirements that may be in effect from time to time.

We strongly recommend that all suppliers and contractors engaged in business with ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ get a full course of vaccination, including booster doses as soon as they are eligible, and submit their booster dose information in  as soon as possible.

To keep Procurement Cardholder accounts safe, we would like to share some of the best practices for card security:
• If you receive a request by email to purchase items (e.g., gift cards on behalf of someone you recognize), verify the sender’s email address and contact them by phone or by sending them an email to their ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ email address to confirm the request is valid before making the purchase. If you do not recognize the sender, do not reply, advise ITS Service Desk of the email, and delete it.

• If your card is declined, lost, or stolen, call Procurement Services at ext. 3622 immediately to reduce the risk of fraud.

• Check your credit card transactions regularly. If you spot unknown charges, call Procurement Services immediately.

• Don’t leave your Pcard unattended.

• Never share your PIN with anyone and do not write it next to or on your card.

• Don’t share confidential information over the phone or in an email. Remember, Scotiabank will never call or send you an email asking you to provide your full card number or password.
