PhD in Political Science, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Amanda Coffie is currently a Research Fellow at Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), University of Ghana. Amanda was awarded the Cambridge African Partnership for Research Excellence (CAPREx) Grant for her Post-Doc studies at Cambridge University, UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I serve as the Editor for Legon Journal for International Affairs and Diplomacy<\/em><\/a> and an Editorial Board Member of Review of International Studies (RIS)<\/em><\/a>. <\/em>I am also a Council Member and Fellow at the Centre for Social Justice, (CSJ) Ghana and a member of the Parliamentary Network Africa (PNAfrica) Board of Directors. I was appointed by the Government of Ghana as Governing Board Member of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation 2015-2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a researcher and policy consultant, my work examines the silences of International Relations, the Agency of Non-State Actors in dealing with post-conflict development. The main actors of interest to me in my research are Refugees, African Diaspora, Transnationals, Stateless Persons, and Migrants.”<\/p>\n\n\n

An outstanding experience associated with studying at the Department of Political Science at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University is the continuous engagement with faculty even after graduation. Currently, I am engaged in the LERRN<\/a> project led by James Milner, a supervisory committee member for my PhD dissertation. My supervisory team, faculty at the department and course mates around the world have served as significant networks for my access and growth in policy and the scholarly communities.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
