His teaching and research lie at the intersection of migration, citizenship, and political theory. He received his BA in Political Science from Bilkent University, Ankara and his MA in International Relations from Ko\u00e7 University, Istanbul. Y\u0131ld\u0131z completed his PhD in Political Science at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University in Ottawa, Canada, focusing on transnational migration.
