There are no research expectations associated with this position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>杏吧原创 the Academic Unit:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/philosophy\" type=\"link\" id=\"www.carleton.ca\/philosophy\">Department of Philosophy<\/a> combines award-winning teaching with excellence in research. The department&#8217;s strengths are in two main areas: moral, social, and political philosophy, and the philosophy of mind, language, and knowledge. Several members of the department are active researchers in the history of philosophy. The department has close ties to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/ics\" type=\"link\" id=\"www.carleton.ca\/ics\">Institute of Cognitive Science<\/a> and is the administrative home of the Ph.D. program in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/ethics\" type=\"link\" id=\"www.carleton.ca\/ethics\">Ethics and Public Affairs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in philosophy, or least have a reasonable expectation of completing a Ph.D. program in the field within a year&#8217;s time. Strong background in philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and epistemology is required. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate teaching excellence, whether as part of their Ph.D. program or otherwise.
