Students in this course study practices and underlying theories for achieving ethical accountability within government, business, and civil society organizations.&nbsp; Specific questions may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How can an organization&#8217;s obligations to stakeholders and to sustainability be justified to that organization&#8217;s officers and employees?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To what extent can these obligations be based on ethical obligations of professions?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can organizations build or undermine employee commitment to ethics?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cases from the public and private sectors will be analyzed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><u>Application Procedures and Deadlines:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required Professional Qualifications:<\/strong>&nbsp; MA Degree in an appropriate field is required. Knowledge of research literature on ethics programs is required. Familiarity with philosophical approaches and issues in applied ethics is required.
