An internationally recognized scholar and philosopher whose writings have been translated into over ten languages, Professor Rustom has published over fifteen books and one hundred articles in the fields of Islamic philosophy, Sufism, Quranic studies, translation theory, and cross-cultural philosophy. His more recent works include, <em>The Essence of Reality <\/em>(NYU Press, 2023), <em>Inrushes of the Heart: The Sufi Philosophy of \u2018Ayn al-Qudat <\/em>(SUNY Press, 2023), and <em>A Sourcebook in Global Philosophy<\/em> (Equinox, 2025). Professor Rustom is also Editor-in-Chief of <em>Islamic Intellectual Traditions<\/em> (Brill) and Editor of Equinox\u2019s&nbsp;Global Philosophy&nbsp;series.
