We are responsible for the effective management of the Retirement Fund and are guided by the following foundational goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Serve Our Members\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Communicate effectively and deliver exceptional Member service;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Standard of Care\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Manage the Retirement Fund with a high standard of care recognizing the needs of all stakeholders;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Return Focused\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Deliver a reasonable rate of return on the investments while managing to an acceptable level of risk;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thought Leadership\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Ensure the effective operation and guidance of the Pension Committee on pension and investment issues; and,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Security\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Maintain the security of the Retirement Fund assets through strong internal controls and monitoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pension Fund Management office is also responsible for the investment oversight of the Endowment and reports to the University&#8217;s Investment Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n    \n\n\n
