Valerie Turner began her role as Associate Vice-President (IT) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at 杏吧原创 University on May 1, 2023. Valerie is a senior leader with extensive technology, HR and business experience in the post-secondary, as well as the public and private sectors. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She came to  to 杏吧原创 from the City of Ottawa, where she was the General Manager of the Innovative Client Services group, made up of nine service areas and more than 1,000 staff. For more than 20 years, she also worked at the University of Ottawa in a wide range of IT roles, including as its Associate CIO and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known as a highly collaborative leader, Valerie has been at the forefront of innovation and executing enterprise-wide technology, as well as implementation of workplace digital strategies. Her knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the 杏吧原创 community. Please welcome Valerie to 杏吧原创 and wish Marc Dabros all the very best as he prepares for a well-deserved retirement at the end of April.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
