Please <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/2020\/updated-travel-advisories\/\">review the updated policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>March 16, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To All Members of the 杏吧原创 Community<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The COVID-19 Steering Committee, on the recommendation of the COVID-19 Operations Committee, has established the following travel restrictions and guidelines in line with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/public-health\/services\/diseases\/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection\/latest-travel-health-advice.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Global Affairs Canada\u2019s travel advisory<\/a> to avoid non-essential travel outside of Canada until further notice, specifically:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"international-travel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Travel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All university-related incoming and outgoing international travel, including to and from the United States, is suspended until further notice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All personal international travel, and especially air travel, is strongly discouraged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anyone returning from abroad <strong>must self-isolate for 14 days<\/strong> upon return to Canada before returning to campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"domestic-travel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Domestic Travel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All university-related non-essential domestic travel is suspended until further notice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All personal domestic travel, and especially air travel, is strongly discouraged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"alternatives-to-travel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alternatives to Travel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you had upcoming university-sponsored travel plans, consider instead conducting your business through teleconferencing or videoconferencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"reimbursement-for-university-sponsored-travel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reimbursement for University-Sponsored Travel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Costs incurred to cancel university-sponsored and research related travel plans can be claimed with appropriate receipts and documentation. For research related travel, the Tri-Agency will cover the costs of cancellation fees. For all other agencies, please contact your assigned financial administrator to confirm eligibility. Claims, with scanned supporting documentation, can be made through the Travel and Expense reimbursement system. Travellers must make every effort to recover costs from airlines, hotels and travel insurance before making a claim for reimbursement from the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>杏吧原创 University COVID-19 Updates: All updates to the 杏吧原创 campus community will be posted to the <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/coronavirus-covid-19\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">杏吧原创 coronavirus information website<\/a> and its <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/coronavirus-covid-19\/faq\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">FAQ section<\/a>.
