Please <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/2020\/updated-safe-meeting-protocols\/\">review the updated policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>March 16, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To All Members of the 杏吧原创 Community,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The COVID-19 Steering Committee on the recommendation of the COVID-19 Operations Committee has established the following social distancing guidelines and safe meeting protocols. Please review carefully so that we can maintain required services while keeping our community safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"safe-meeting-protocols\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Safe Meeting Protocols<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"on-campus-meeting-protocol\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">On-Campus Meeting Protocol<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you are showing any symptoms of illness, do not come to campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If meeting face to face, implement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ottawapublichealth.ca\/en\/public-health-topics\/self-isolation-instructions-for-novel-coronavirus-covid-19.aspx\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">social distancing measures<\/a> including maintaining a one to two metre (three to six feet) distance from each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan for online or teleconference options, especially for groups larger than eight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wipe down surfaces before any face-to-face meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invite external visitors to on-campus meetings only in exceptional circumstances. Consider all online or teleconference options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In order to prioritize the response to COVID-19, consider cancelling non-urgent and non-essential meetings or activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"off-campus-meeting-protocol\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Off-Campus Meeting Protocol<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As directed by Ottawa Public Health, avoid non-essential trips in the community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limit your meetings off campus to exceptional priority topics or projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In all cases, consider online or teleconference options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"social-distancing-guidelines\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Social Distancing Guidelines<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each administrative unit will need to determine how to best deliver required services in order to ensure the continued operation of the university. Individual units will determine which services can be delivered remotely and which necessitate on-campus presence. All on-campus work should follow best practices in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ottawapublichealth.ca\/en\/public-health-topics\/self-isolation-instructions-for-novel-coronavirus-covid-19.aspx\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">social distancing measures<\/a> and the following guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"counter-service\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Counter Service<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Where possible, interactions with students should be done by phone or email. In some cases, a main counter is required to be available to students. When this is the case, a two-metre separation should be put in place. This can be marked with stanchions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"handling-documents\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Handling Documents<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Where possible, document submission should be done via scanning and email. When hard-copy documents are required, the use of a drop box should be encouraged. When handling documents, ensure you are washing your hands regularly, and sanitize your hands before and after touching the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"office-cleaning\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Office Cleaning<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff who are working on campus should regularly sanitize their workspace and consider the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wash your hands prior to returning to your office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep desks and tables clean<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wipe down your keyboard and desk regularly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash your hands if you\u2019ve been in contact with anyone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash your hands before you eat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"work-from-home-resources\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work from Home Resources<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/wfh\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ITS has prepared information<\/a> to assist everyone in the transition to working from home<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for your cooperation as we navigate through these uncertain times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suzanne Blanchard<br>\nVice-President (Students and Enrolment)<br>\nOn behalf of the COVID-19 Steering Committee<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Visit 杏吧原创\u2019s COVID-19 website.
