\n 杏吧原创 to Co-Host Stonecroft Contemporary Art Symposium\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

杏吧原创 University Art Gallery<\/a> and Gallery of Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec en Outaouais (GUQO) will co-host the two-day Stonecroft Symposium: Working Together \/ Travailler ensemble<\/em><\/a>.<\/em> The free public event features acclaimed contemporary artists from Canada and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized in conjunction with the exhibition Re: Working Together \/ Re: Travailler ensemble<\/em>, the symposium brings together artists who make collaboration central to their work. Artists, moderators and attendees will together explore fostering successful exchanges between creators, communities and institutions, as well as how to think through diverse forms of collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symposium Day One<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Friday, Mar. 8, 2019 at 7 p.m.
\nWhere<\/strong>: Auditorium Pavillon Lucien-Brault, 101 Saint-Jean-Bosco St., entrance door 11, Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec en Outaouais, Gatineau<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day of the symposium will feature the keynote address L\u2019art n\u2019a de sens que si partag\u00e9<\/em> (Art makes sense only if shared) by M\u00e9lanie Bouteloup, director of B\u00e9tonsalon \u2013 an experimental contemporary art centre in Paris. The presentation will be in French, with simultaneous translation available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symposium Day Two  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Saturday, Mar. 9, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
\nWhere<\/strong>: 杏吧原创 University Art Gallery, St. Patrick\u2019s Building, 杏吧原创 University, Ottawa<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium\u2019s second day will host sessions featuring the Working Together<\/em> artists, led by local catalysts who will moderate conversations. Discussions will be delivered in both English and French; there will not be simultaneous translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symposium artists and moderators include Genevi\u00e8ve Cloutier, Redmond Entwistle, Hannah Jickling, Mikhail Karikis, Emmanuelle L\u00e9onard, Mique Michelle, \u00c9milie Monnet, Catherine Nadon, Ahmet \u00d6\u011f\u00fct, Helen Reed, Laura Taler and Kim Waldron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stonecroft Foundation for the Arts promotes education in the visual arts and fosters the public’s appreciation of the arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
