She has been in this position in an acting role since April 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michaud joined 杏吧原创 University in 2016 as the Indigenous Liaison Officer in the Centre for Indigenous Initiatives. She has made significant contributions to the university\u2019s Indigenous initiatives and currently co-chairs the newly established <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/indigenousinitiatives\/\" target=\"_blank\">杏吧原创 University Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Committee<\/a> (CUISIC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michaud has had a remarkable presence in the Indigenous community in Ottawa. She co-founded and organized the annual Louis Riel Day Celebration of M\u00e9tis Culture and History, the largest M\u00e9tis cultural gathering in Ottawa. As part of the celebration, the Louis Riel Community Service Award is presented to a M\u00e9tis person serving their community. She represents the Two-Spirit community on the Champlain Region LHIN\u2019s Trans, Two-Spirit and Gender Diverse Planning table, which seeks to improve health care pathways. Michaud also works with the Ottawa-杏吧原创 District School Board to help them implement Indigenous-focused curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michaud is a 杏吧原创 alumna, having obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in History and a minor in Indigenous Studies.
