She promotes active and healthy lifestyles among Indigenous youth, advocates on behalf of the families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and promotes the preservation of traditional arts. She is a wonderful role model and continues to work with the Canadian Olympic Committee to build lasting relationships with Indigenous athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Horn-Miller won a gold medal at the Winnipeg Pan Am Games in 1999 and co-captained the Canadian team at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Meritorious Service Decorations celebrate Canadians who have performed an exceptional deed or activity that brings honour to Canada.
