杏吧原创 University\u2019s Gabriel Wainer<\/a>, professor and associate chair for Graduate Studies in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering<\/a>, has been honoured with a Recognition of Service Award by the Association for Computing Machinery<\/a> (ACM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACM is the world\u2019s largest computing society \u2013 counting academics, researchers and industry professionals as its members. The Recognition of Service Award was presented in appreciation for Wainer\u2019s work as the Program Chair of the 50th<\/sup> edition of the Winter Simulation Conference (WSC), sponsored by ACM (and co-sponsored by IEEE, ISEE, INFORMS, ASA, ASIM, SCS, and NIST).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the conference website<\/a>, the WSC is \u201cthe premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation.\u201d The annual conference attracts international attendees from across academic and industry fields. The three-day event was held in December 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wainer is the supervisor of 杏吧原创\u2019s Advanced Real-Time Simulation Lab<\/a> – an advanced modeling and simulation research laboratory in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering and Design<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
